Disclaimer and Waiver:

I desire to participate in Call 2 Care’s Volunteer Event and engage in activities relating to being a volunteer for this event. I understand that this event may involve construction-related activities. I understand that this may include hazardous activities, which may be hazardous to me including, but not limited to, construction activities, loading and unloading heavy equipment and materials. I hereby expressly state that I have read and understood the health and safety instructions provided by Call 2 Care, and that I explicitly assume the risk of injury or harm arising from my participation in the event and related activities. I absolve Call 2 Care from any and all liability, claims or demands of whatever nature, which may arise from my participation therein, except where injury or harm was caused as a result of gross negligence on the part of Call 2 Care. I understand that this release discharges Call 2 Care from any liability or claim that I may have against Call 2 Care with regard to any bodily injury, illness, death or property loss or damage or consequence thereof that may result from my participation in the Volunteer Event, except where such bodily injury, illness, death or property loss or damage or consequence thereof was caused as a result of gross negligence on the part of Call 2 Care. I understand that Call 2 Care does not carry or maintain health, medical, disability or other insurance for any volunteer and that each volunteer is responsible for their own health, medical, disability or other insurance. I release Call 2 Care from any claim whatsoever which arises or may hereafter arise on account of any first-aid treatment or other services of a medical nature rendered (in connection with an emergency) which may arise from my participation in the volunteer event, except where such first-aid treatment or other services of a medical nature rendered are as a result of injury or harm caused to gross negligence of Call 2 Care. 

As confirmation of this release and waiver, and a confirmation of my understanding of it, I the Volunteer, sign up to this event in favour of both Call 2 Care, a non-profit company, its directors, employees, officers and agents, collectively.
