Baphumelele is a children’s home in Khayelitsha supports over 3000 children ranging from local children’s homes, schools, hospices, respite centers and extramurral organisations. Thanks to 30 Volunteers, Woolworths and Braai World, a traditional South African meal was provided to over 200 residents and children of Baphumelele’s Children Home. In addition, non-perishable food was provided to Baphumelele to ensure their future nutritional needs are met.
After the event, the volunteers were excited about the prospect of doing more in their communities which spurred on more projects and hence Call 2 Care became a vehicle in which do-gooders can do good - Thanks to all the committee members of Call 2 Care that make these events happen.Over all, after a day of food preparation, cooking, playing with the kids, singing, dancing, loving and sharing, everyone went home with full tummies, warm hearts and a smile on their face. It was such a superb day – Thank you to everyone involved!
