HELP US GIVE A LITTLE OF THAT BACK
This year, we are supporting the incredible women, children and staff of Carehaven Shelter. This is a safe sanctuary for victims of abuse, who often flee with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. We want to remind them that they are loved, accepted and not alone. And we need your help to do so!
WHAT WE ARE COLLECTING
We are looking for donations of basic toiletries, sanitary products, children's toys (especially boys), and prams for the women and children's centre at Carehaven.
WHAT WE ARE DOING ON THE DAY
On Mandela Day, Monday 18th July 2022, we are hosting a Pamper and Picnic day for the women and staff of this incredible institution. We will spoil these ladies with mini facials, manicures and an outdoor picnic on their lovely lawns.
We are looking for donations of basic toiletries, sanitary products, children's toys (especially boys), and prams for the women and children's centre at Carehaven.

Any enthusiastic volunteers, with a steady hand ready to paint nails, apply face masks or do a mini make over!
Due to the nature of this facility, we can only accept female volunteers on the day.
What we need to pamper
We are looking for:

Nail polish, nail files, acetone, nail buffers

Face masks, toners, cleansers, face sponges

Eyeshadow, mascara, lipstick, makeup brushes, foundation

Hair brush, hair dryer
-
Hand Towels
-
Bowls for water
These items can be new or used
* except for face sponges

Pastries, cupcakes or cookies

Fruit juices, cooldrinks or water

Fresh fruit
