The best afternoon spent harvesting delicious organic vegetables with the children at Zusakhe and the wonderful myDunoon team. Zusakhe means "to build" and operates in the Dunoon semi-urban area of Cape Town, Western Cape. Zusakhe Educare offers a crèche, after-care facility and home based care services to those either infected or affected by HIV/Aids.

By creating avenues for Corporate Responsibility and investment, Call 2 Care were able to bridge the gap between the needs of a vulnerable community with those that can provide a helping hand. The harvest at Zusakhe is an excellent example of a community outreach program with a difference which delivers a sustainable benefit to the community by empowering them to grow their own food with the continuous support from the Call 2 Care team. Some time ago, the Novus team were bought on site as corporate volunteers in order to assist with building these water wise gardens that now make it possible for Zusakhe to grow their own food.
