It's KeDezemba, but let's talk about giving back!

Christmas joy personified!

T’is that time of the year; and like our favourite festive Diva; we come bearing festive spirit and a good cause. 

And we’re popping in; the same way Mariah pops up like a mushroom every November; to remind us she’s here, she’s a legend and to help us tell you that all we WANT for Christmas is YOU. 

As Mariah takes over Sister Bethina as the national anthem for the month, and we start saying KeDezemba, boss, we’re popping back up; not with a playlist suggestion, but with a purpose.

We’re prepping for what is probably our most challenging time of year as a social impact organisation; while so many of us are winding down, the needs of our vulnerable communities only grow in this season.

It may be challenging; but it is time for one of our favourite campaigns of the year; our Christmas Drive.

We know it’s the season of braai's, road trips, and last minute gift swaps - we’re all trying to stretch salaries that already know Janua-worry is waiting around the corner - but imagine, for a moment, what December feels like for a child who’s unsure where their next meal will come from?

Because when you don’t know if there’ll be food, school shoes, or stationery; Christmas lists and festive cheer don’t exist. 

But you can change that with us through the 4 options in our Christmas Campaign:

We’re inviting you to by joining our elf pack and making the season brighter for 581 children across our partner homes and schools.

Each of these homes; from Rainbow of Hope, where children rebuild trust after neglect, to Heaven’s Nest, Unakho, and St Michael’s, which provide love and care for orphans and vulnerable children; are places we know, visit, and work alongside all year long. 

Whether it’s an hour of your time, a pack, or a pledge, every bit of love multiplies. 

We see it firsthand; often. 

Watching a child light up when they open something that’s theirs?

It’s the kind of moment that stays with you long after All I Want For Christmas stops playing in the stores; and the novelty never wears off. 

Ever. 

So, as we all start planning road trips, creating adventure WhatsApp groups, sunny day playlists, and how to make December salaries last till mid January; be a boss and include some reflection and intentional participation into making the season festive; for all. 

Because giving back, it turns out, is the real KeDezemba vibe!
