Connect 123 Staff and Volunteer team treated to a community development experience

The Connect 123 staff members and volunteer team kicked off celebrations for Nelson Mandela Day by painting the interior of a classroom at Sibongile creche while also making a delicious nutritious stew to feed over 200 community members residing in Kayamandi area.

Sibongile Crèche is an Early Childhood Development Center located in the Kayamandi township community. The crèche forms part of the Women and Children Development Initiative of Kayamandi that provides trauma counseling, empowerment and nutritional care to the women that need it most. Despite the limited resources and shocking infrastructure available, the center strives to make a difference by providing free day care services to women who are actively in search of employment to support their family.
